In the classroom, Fuxiang sat at her desk, propping her chin on her hand as she gazed out the window, lost in thought about herself and Utakaya.

“Wow, seriously? Someone actually attacked a girl like that?!”

“Why would I lie? The teacher hasn’t come yet, so let’s go take a look before it’s too late!”

The urge to gawk at a commotion was a universal trait among humans, regardless of nationality, race, or gender.

The sudden noise broke Fuxiang’s reverie. Watching her classmates rush out in groups to see what was happening, she furrowed her brow slightly.

“What’s going on?”

“I heard there’s a guy in the bathroom attacking several girls.”

“Yeah! He’s pretty rough. Fuxiang, do you want to go see?”

Fuxiang was taken aback at first but then gladly accepted the invitation. She was bored anyway, and since Utakaya forbade her from causing trouble or having fun, free entertainment was hard to pass up.

And a university student fight—there might even be blood.

Then...

“Is that... Utakaya?”

“Fuxiang, that looks like...”

Before her classmates could finish, sensing something was wrong, Fuxiang suddenly stepped forward and grabbed Utakaya, who was beating several delinquent girls until they were sobbing uncontrollably.

Fuxiang looked at the girls on the ground, bleeding from their mouths and noses, and stopped Utakaya from continuing. She took his hand and pulled a tissue from her pocket to wipe off the blood that had accidentally smeared on him.

“Why are you fighting here? Can’t you pick another time?”

Fuxiang didn’t care why Utakaya was hitting them. After all, she had beaten those girls herself before. Having witnessed Utakaya kill before, she knew that his current fury was restrained—he was slapping rather than punching or kicking, which was surprisingly gentle.

What concerned her was that Utakaya’s actions here would cause trouble at school, even if most teachers in this island nation turned a blind eye to campus violence.

But someone like Utakaya, openly fighting, would definitely face consequences.

Their conversation was interrupted when teachers hurriedly arrived, looking at Utakaya and Fuxiang standing there, and the few delinquent girls still crying on the floor.

“You two, come here!”

In the teacher’s office, Utakaya stood expressionless, while Fuxiang looked annoyed, knowing that Utakaya had acted for Kaiko’s sake.

Knock knock.

“Come in!”

The voice of the head of academic affairs was angry as Kaiko entered, having been taken aside by a teacher to change into clean clothes, though her hair was still wet.

Before anyone could speak, Kaiko trembled and hurriedly said, “Teacher, it was Masamiko and the others who bullied me first, that’s why Utakaya-kun...”

“Enough, be quiet. You’re all university students. If you weren’t at fault, why would they only pick on you and not others...?”

Before Kaiko could finish, the head of academic affairs interrupted with disdain.

“Then why do they only hit Kaiko and not dare to touch others? Who’s really at fault here?”

Everyone in the office was stunned when Utakaya suddenly spoke up.

Kaiko turned to look at Utakaya, who was defending her, feeling a surge of warmth. But she quickly remembered how much the island society frowned upon insubordination.

If Utakaya spoke out against the teachers for her sake, it would only bring him trouble!

What if Utakaya got expelled because of her? No, she couldn’t let that happen!

“Teacher, Utakaya-kun didn’t mean to...”

“Utakaya, get out there and stand outside!”

Looking at the furious, enraged head of academic affairs, Utakaya said nothing and turned to leave the office.

As Utakaya left, the delinquent girls began wailing again.

“Teacher, look at what Utakaya did to us...”

Before they could finish, Fuxiang snapped coldly.

“Shut up, you sound like pigs. Be quiet.”

Under Fuxiang’s influence, the girls immediately fell silent. The head of academic affairs then turned to her.

“Fuxiang, are you involved in this?”

Fuxiang nodded calmly.

“Yes, because I hit them too.”

“Uh...”

Fuxiang’s words stunned the head and the teachers. Looking at the charming Fuxiang, her homeroom teacher quickly smiled.

“Fuxiang, don’t joke around. How could you hit someone?”

“Really, I’m not lying. They were bullying Kaiko, and I saw it. When they tried to mess with me, I hit them.”

Hearing this, the homeroom teacher exhaled in relief. Seeing Fuxiang’s indifferent expression, she didn’t want her student involved in this at all.

Because of this, the homeroom teacher quickly explained on her behalf.

“Director, you see, Fuxiang was acting in self-defense, not deliberately bullying anyone.”

The head of academic affairs looked at Fuxiang’s beautiful face, and much of his anger faded as he nodded firmly.

“Fuxiang is known as one of the top 500 students admitted to our university from the Kinki region. There must be a reason she’s like this.”

“Yes, indeed.”

Watching the teachers unconsciously defend her under the influence of her abilities, a cold smile flickered in Fuxiang’s heart, though her face showed a pitiful worry.

“Well then... Utakaya was just helping others. Teacher, that doesn’t count as wrongdoing, right?”

Under Fuxiang’s influence, the teachers in the office all unconsciously followed her line of thought.

“Yes, since Masamiko and the others started it, Utakaya was just standing up for justice.”

“What do you mean ‘just’? Didn’t you see Utakaya actually dared to defy...!”

Before the head could regain his composure in anger, Fuxiang spoke again in a sweet voice.

“Director, Utakaya wasn’t wrong. Masamiko and the others started it. They wanted to bully me too, and I was really scared back then...”

Her ability’s spread caused the head and the other teachers to instantly lose rational thought, all agreeing with her.

The matter was quickly judged as Masamiko and the others provoking trouble, and Utakaya stepping in to stop it.

“Well then, on behalf of Utakaya, thank you, Director and all the teachers~ Arigatou~”

Seeing Fuxiang bow obediently, the head and the teachers all smiled kindly.

“Hahaha, if all students were like Fuxiang, teachers would have it much easier~”

“Hey~ Thank you, teachers. We’ll be going now.”

Without waiting for Kaiko to react, Fuxiang grabbed her hand and led her out of the office.

Inside, with Fuxiang gone, reason returned to the head and the teachers as they looked at the terrified and confused Masamiko and the others.

“Tomorrow, if you don’t want to be punished or expelled, you better give me your parents’ phone numbers!”
