Chapter Thirteen: You, the Hater
“I didn’t want to camp the bot lane either, but they kept telling me to go there—I couldn’t just ignore it.”
Reading Shisenming’s reply, Lin Ruo slumped in the livestream room, wearing an innocent expression.
It wasn’t that Uzi was too easy to catch; it was the bot lane constantly forcing him to go there.
As for who was doing the forcing, never mind that.
To appease the dog fanbase, Lin Ruo never went bot lane again afterward and switched to ganking the top lane instead.
“Huh, why is Uzi also up top?”
Suddenly spotted lurking in the top lane brush, Lin Ruo helplessly unleashed his ultimate, Ice Prison, startling Uzi, who was busy clearing minions, into hurriedly flashing away.
The chat exploded with question marks.
“Still say they’re not haters, chasing after Uzi like that.”
“Don’t say nonsense. The streamer’s a true Uzi fan, so naturally, he has to chase him around—like how Peanut chases the Factory.”
“Got it, pure true fan, no doubt about that.”
Seeing the sarcastic comments, Lin Ruo sighed heavily: “I honestly didn’t know Uzi switched lanes to top. I actually came here to catch Fiora and open Rift Herald.”
“Why come top if there’s nothing to do? Bot lane isn’t helpless.”
“Never mind, I’m leaving.” Lin Ruo turned away, cancelled Rift Herald, ganked mid for a second, then took the northern route to red buff, comfortably farming the red side’s Golem.
Carelessly pulling the Golem out of brush and exposing vision, Uzi, like a startled bird, couldn’t even last-hit minions, panicking as he hurriedly retreated to the second tower with his support.
Meanwhile, the excavator was busy taking dragon bot lane, with no time to care about top.
Top lane had clearly become a prison, and the god was the imprisoned hero.
“Never thought one day the god would sacrifice himself for his teammates.”
Lin Ruo inwardly marveled at such greatness.
Fearing misunderstanding, he quickly clarified: “Guys, watch carefully—the streamer’s here to farm the Golem, not specifically targeting Uzi. I’ve deliberately exposed vision; there’s no intention to tower dive, okay?”
Watching the top tower fall and minions die, Lin Ruo finally recalled.
“What the heck, jungler.”
Missing two waves, Uzi in the RNG base wasn’t even sweating, since all minions had been wiped out.
The little chubby’s round face flushed red, looking uneasy all over.
“What do you do if you can’t last-hit? Recommend playing on your phone.”
“He’s all red-faced, and you want him to play on his phone? What if he breaks it? Suggest a hot bath to cool down first.”
“Uzi loves baths—once he goes, he doesn’t come back, so don’t let him.”
“Uzi, hang in there! I’m off to take a bath.”
“Big courage, if you want Uzi to AFK, just say so, all you haters—are you willing to sacrifice the god’s eternal reputation?”
Who’s Uzi? He’s the top star of the LPL, so naturally, many onlookers were drawn in.
As one of the leading streamers in the casual gaming circle, now with real-time broadcasts from major OB bloggers and word of mouth from haters, his popularity skyrocketed.
In less than twenty minutes, hater mobs flooded in.
Meanwhile, on the Zhanqi livestream platform, Lin Ruo’s room heat soared past a million.
From a nobody to a mid-tier streamer, rivaling Tianye’s viewership.
A bunch of troublemakers gathered, all here for a laugh.
GSL’s comments were drowned in the flood.
“Damn, the enemy Fiora is fierce, already pushing to bot tier 2.”
About to head to the upper half to continue harassing Uzi’s minions, Lin Ruo had to turn back under pressure to defend bot lane.
The chat instantly disapproved.
“Keep farming resources, why bother with Fiora?”
“What use is home? Just let the dog eat minions and enjoy it.”
“Advise the streamer to have some self-awareness. Know where the traffic comes from—without resources, you’re nothing. So go farm.”
“Haters, stop talking. I’m chasing Uzi because he’s strong. Now Fiora’s up and stronger; naturally, I switch targets. Got it?”
Lin Ruo rambled on and on, then blasted the chat: “Still talk about traffic, but you don’t even join my fan club—you think I care about your petty numbers?”
The haters didn’t understand at first, but the last sentence made everything clear.
Soon after, someone sent ten large broadswords worth over ten thousand in gifts.
Lin Ruo’s expression shifted; he raised an eyebrow and smiled: “Thanks to the ‘Bathing God’ for the big broadswords.”
“Oh man, that name screams hater. Don’t send me gifts next time. I hate you haters the most.”
His expression changed instantly.
Lin Ruo grumbled, moved the mouse, and halted his advance to bot lane, then turned back up top.
“Fiora recalled, so no more bot lane.”
“Also, I checked—Fiora’s mechanics are average, not that strong, definitely not stronger than Uzi. No point chasing her.”
Then, the much-anticipated scene repeated.
This time Uzi couldn’t even stay at tier 2 tower, standing defensively under the high ground turret, cold winds sweeping around him.
Not because of the weather, but because the cold winter boar was constantly hunting him.
It seemed ready to charge at any moment.
Checking the stats panel, Uzi found he had been poked nearly fifty times by Varus.
When had he ever suffered such humiliation?
Uzi felt faint, slumping in his chair, hands off the keyboard, helplessly rubbing his forehead.
“This game’s unplayable—this pig’s been right in front of me the whole time. So hard to play.”
“My teammates gave no pressure to the enemy, just watching me suffer. Might as well go take a bath.”
Seeing Uzi joke about taking a bath, the chat erupted.
“Trash teammates, totally shut down this game.”
“Even with the resources, he can’t win under high ground pressure. What else do you want from the god? He’s trying his best.”
“Can’t carry with these resources—just AFK. Don’t take this abuse.”
“Does it matter if he AFKs now? Same difference.”
“Congrats to the resources for being the first in the Rift to AFK.”
At the thirty-minute mark, watching their crystal explode, the torturous match finally ended.
From Uzi’s perspective, he had suffered all game.
But from Lin Ruo’s view, the grievances were no less—this win was truly hard-earned.
He had stalked Uzi relentlessly, hating every exhausting step.
Looking at the final stats, his participation rate was ridiculously low.
Though still higher than Uzi, who was practically invisible by not joining team fights at all.
In contrast, the Troll was a war god, scoring 14.1 for the match.
Holding bot lane alone against enemy top and jungle, invincible in team fights.
He had truly gone all out to make Uzi lose.
Is this the true weight of Uzi’s haters? Absolutely terrifying.
“Damn, is this really my fan? Not even joining fights but watching me like a hawk.”
After the game, Uzi glared angrily at Shisenming beside him.
“Are you sure they’re not haters?”
