The maid returned to the villa before five o’clock.

Mo Yu was watching television in the living room, having already erased all traces left by the zombie dog.

“Start the car and go pick up the young lady,” the maid said before retreating to her room.

Mo Yu drove out; the maid had already changed back into her uniform.

The two of them headed toward the school.

They arrived during the peak dismissal time. Instead of pulling up at the school gate, the car took a detour to a side road and waited by the curb.

After a moment, Iris appeared.

She was arm in arm with Alice, chatting and laughing, their close friendship evident at a glance.

“…See you at the amusement park tomorrow,” Iris said.

Though there was some distance between them, Mo Yu’s enhanced hearing caught the tail end of their conversation.

Iris approached the car.

Alice got into another luxury car, clearly the daughter of a wealthy family.

Mo Yu stood by the car door, observing her with interest. He wondered if Iris’s close friend was aware of Iris’s true identity.

He opened the door, gesturing politely for her to enter.

Iris’s smile faded, replaced by an expressionless face; she ignored Mo Yu and got into the car directly.

They returned to the villa.

That night was calm.

Iris perfectly played the role of a high school girl; the three of them lived harmoniously as a family of three, without a hint of suspicion.

Mo Yu helped the maid with some chores before retreating to his small room to rest.

Others had one day; his day was equivalent to ten.

He was exhausted.

He lay down for a while, scrolling through his phone.

This was something Mo Yu hadn’t done for over a year. In the space station, he could only play virtual games, and after the meteor shower, there was nothing to play.

Alpha squatted beside him, watching him scroll and reminding him, “Current world disturbance level: 1%. Director, please keep up the good work.”

Mo Yu thought of a question and asked, “Can I return early?”

“No shuttle available; cannot initiate return,” Alpha replied.

Mo Yu turned over and continued watching a young lady dance.

The video quality was mediocre.

After seeing super beauties like Iris and Alice, watching those distorted figures twisting their hips under space-warping magic felt like a scam. Better to watch forging, wilderness survival, carpet cleaning, or donkey hoof repair instead.

Just as Mo Yu was grinning foolishly, someone knocked on the door.

It was already nine o’clock at night.

He begrudgingly got up and opened the door.

It was Iris.

The young girl wore a black lace camisole dress, exposing her shoulders, arms, and thighs—a dazzling expanse of pale skin. Her golden hair was casually tied up.

“Young lady! To see you at this hour is simply wonderful! Tonight, I’m sure I’ll have the sweetest dreams of spending time together,” Mo Yu said, placing one hand on his chest and playing the part of a devoted admirer. He even reached out to hold Iris’s hand, attempting a kiss, but she nimbly dodged.

Iris was cold and indifferent. “I have an important task for you tomorrow.”

“It’s my honor. I guarantee to complete the mission,” Mo Yu replied solemnly.

Iris nodded. “Follow Agent One. She will explain the details and prepare what you need.”

Agent One was the maid.

Mo Yu acknowledged.

Iris turned and left immediately.

He instantly put on a reluctant expression and reached out. “Young lady, please come in for a while! To fall asleep surrounded by your lingering fragrance is the highest praise a loyal servant could receive!”

Iris ran away.

Mo Yu chuckled secretly.

Playing the pervert avoided a lot of trouble.

He returned to his room to rest.

As for tomorrow’s mission, it was probably to test whether he was a strategist.

The next morning, early dawn.

Mo Yu was awakened by a familiar headbutt and retaliated with a reverse headbutt, sending Alpha flying.

“What’s the matter this time?”

“Director, your alarm clock is set.”

“Ugh!”

Mo Yu was wide awake and got up. He put on his original clothes and went outside to the backyard.

The maid was trimming the bushes.

Mo Yu greeted her briefly before heading out for morning exercise, covering a longer distance to have more points for backtracking, while also scouting nearby villas for future zero-cost acquisitions.

With his enhanced physique, his physical attributes surpassed human limits. He easily jumped over five-meter-high fences and could sprint a hundred meters in five seconds.

Ordinary bodyguards couldn’t stop him.

Previously heavily guarded villas were now open for casual inspection.

Perhaps because Iris lived here, there were no other types of monsters nearby, only some bloodthirsty bats in the bushes.

As Mo Yu approached the artificial lake, he spotted Iris from afar.

She was coming from the direction of the manor, seemingly returning to handle something, just like yesterday—using morning exercise as an excuse.

“Young lady! Wait for me!”

Mo Yu switched into his pervert mode and followed Iris, babbling endlessly.

Iris ignored him, running faster and faster.

It was Saturday.

Iris didn’t need to attend school. She had arranged to go to the amusement park with classmates. After breakfast, she went to the dressing room with the maid for careful grooming.

At 8:03 a.m.

A luxury car stopped at the gate.

Alice got out.

Iris greeted her.

Both wore similar Japanese school uniforms, vibrant and full of youthful energy, chatting and laughing as they got into the car and drove away.

Mo Yu stood behind the maid, watching the car disappear, then yawned and asked, “What’s our mission?”

“Follow me.”

The maid led Mo Yu to the manor and into a large dressing room. Per her instructions, Mo Yu sat before a floor-length mirror while the maid busied herself at the vanity.

Mo Yu withdrew his gaze and looked at the mirror in front of him.

Who was that wild man?

No... wait.

That was himself.

He scrutinized the reflection carefully.

He was handsome, obviously.

But—

His hair was a messy nest, his beard unkempt. Chronic malnutrition and overwork had left his complexion waxy yellow, with dark circles and bags under his eyes, his face exhausted. His mouth gaped open, revealing a mouthful of yellow teeth.

Last time, he hadn’t looked like this!

He remembered himself as handsome.

Since the meteor strike on the space station caused a shortage of supplies, his life had been worse than that of a savage. No washing his face or brushing his teeth, subsisting daily on poor-quality nutritional paste. With no one else on the station, he neglected himself entirely.

Malnourishment caused bleeding gums and a poor complexion due to vitamin deficiency.

Overwork stemmed from racing against time to repair the space station, exhausting himself using rewinding powers.

The maid picked up scissors and stood before Mo Yu.

“Don’t move.”

“Yes.”

Mo Yu let the maid groom him.

Half an hour later.

Mo Yu looked in the mirror, rubbed his eyes, and tilted his head toward the maid. “Did you give me a new hairstyle?”

The maid crossed her arms, propping her chin with one hand, eyes wide as her gaze roamed over him, emitting incomprehensible sounds.

It was clear she was shocked.

Mo Yu was shocked too.

His hair trimmed, beard cleanly shaved, dark circles concealed with makeup, teeth cleaned, and dressed in spring casual wear—he looked like a different person. Radiant and handsome with a slightly sinister charm, he looked like the ultimate popular villain boss in a movie.

This was the true appearance of his body.

“As expected of an artificially engineered creation,”

Mo Yu exclaimed in admiration.

He had reviewed the space station files and knew this body was the only successful specimen from the reboot project, professionally gene-edited, with all physical parameters at the top tier, and a top-notch appearance.
