An hour later, at the Rejuvenation Hall Pharmacy.

Chu Tian stood at the entrance of the clinic, his gaze fixed on the beautiful female doctor attending patients.

Third Senior Sister!

Lin Qinghan!

Lin Qinghan wore a white lab coat, its loose fit concealing her alluring curves, but nothing could escape Chu Tian’s discerning eyes. Though her figure was not as voluptuous as Second Senior Sister’s, her slender and graceful silhouette still drew every eye.

It was noon, and the clinic was quiet, with few patients around.

Chu Tian walked inside, bypassing any queue, and sat directly in front of Lin Qinghan.

“Doctor, I’m not feeling well,” he said, feigning discomfort and resting his arm atop a medicine pouch, exposing his wrist.

“Where do you feel unwell?” Lin Qinghan’s voice was melodious, like a songbird emerging from the valley, captivating the soul.

Unlike the aloof First Senior Sister or the sharp-tongued Second Senior Sister, she was gentle and understanding, like the caring girl next door.

“Doctor, I haven’t had much appetite lately. I’m not sure why. Perhaps you could check me?” Chu Tian intended to play a prank on her, just as he had with Second Senior Sister.

Lin Qinghan extended her right hand, pressing her middle and index fingers to his wrist to feel his pulse.

She listened carefully to the rhythm of his heartbeat, while Chu Tian gazed at her face, admiring her look of concentration.

Time seemed to pause for them, as if they were caught in a still painting.

After two minutes, Lin Qinghan finally released his hand, her expression turning grave.

“Doctor, how’s my condition?” Chu Tian snapped out of his reverie and quickly asked.

“It’s not looking good. I suggest you eat well, drink well, and fulfill any unfinished wishes as soon as possible. Don’t let regrets linger in your life,” Lin Qinghan sighed, speaking with the solemnity of a physician confronting a terminal patient and offering final advice.

“Doctor, you… you must have misdiagnosed me, right?” Chu Tian was stunned. He was a master physician himself, intimately aware of his own health.

He knew his body was perfectly healthy, without any ailments. How could he suddenly be at death’s door, according to Lin Qinghan?

Could Third Senior Sister be an incompetent doctor?

Impossible. In his previous life, no matter what injury or illness he suffered, Lin Qinghan always treated him at once.

Chu Tian had always respected her medical skills.

So what was happening now?

“I didn’t misdiagnose you. Your condition is quite serious. Instead of thinking about chasing girls all day, you’d be better off doing something meaningful,” Lin Qinghan smiled gently, as if offering genuine advice.

But Chu Tian immediately caught on.

“Third Senior Sister, you’re too cunning! You’re playing tricks on me,” Chu Tian laughed.

He had intended to prank her, but it was clear she had already seen through his identity.

“So you realized I was teasing you?” Lin Qinghan was surprised, admiring his quick wit. She had hoped to fool him and get some revenge for Second Senior Sister.

But Lin Qinghan clearly underestimated Chu Tian’s medical expertise; deceiving a master physician in this field was nothing short of wishful thinking.

“Third Senior Sister, I happen to know a bit about medicine myself and am well aware of my own health.”

“But how did you see through me?” Chu Tian asked curiously. Oscar truly owed Third Senior Sister a golden statuette; if he hadn’t been skilled in medicine, her acting might have fooled him.

“Second Sister called ahead and told me about the bar incident. You and First Sister teamed up to prank her, and now you want to prank me as well?” Lin Qinghan chuckled. Though it was their first meeting, her impression of Chu Tian was quite favorable.

Chu Tian waved his hands, protesting, “Third Senior Sister, you’re wrong. It was all First Sister’s idea, nothing to do with me!”

“Oh really?”

“Should I call First Sister and ask her about the whole story?” Lin Qinghan said, pulling out her phone and waving it before him.

“No, no, let’s not bother First Sister over such a small matter,” Chu Tian replied awkwardly. If she got involved, he’d surely be in trouble.

Just then, a mother and her son rushed into the clinic.

“Is Doctor Tang here?”

“Please, look at my son’s hand. I think it’s dislocated,” the middle-aged woman said, anxiety etched on her face as she glanced at the young man beside her.

The youth’s arm was bent unnaturally, clearly fractured. Without prompt treatment, his future recovery would be compromised and he might even face lifelong disability.

“I’m a doctor too. Let me check your son’s injury,” Lin Qinghan said, ignoring Chu Tian and stepping forward to examine the young man.

But the woman was unimpressed, dismissing Lin Qinghan’s medical skills.

“You’re too young. Are there any more experienced doctors here? Young doctors aren’t reliable. If you can’t treat him, it might make things worse,” she said, scrutinizing Lin Qinghan’s youthful face with skepticism.

“I’m sorry, Doctor Tang hasn’t returned yet. I’m the only one on duty. I’ll have to treat your son,” Lin Qinghan replied with a gentle smile, showing no anger despite the slight.

After all, traditional Chinese medicine differed from Western medicine; experience was highly valued, and older practitioners were always in greater demand, while younger ones were often overlooked.

Especially in a newly opened clinic like Rejuvenation Hall, the woman’s distrust was understandable.

There were only two attending physicians here: Lin Qinghan and Tang Long.

Tang Long was a thirty-year-old practitioner whose reputation attracted many patients. Not because his skills were extraordinary, but because his mentor was Wu Liang, the famed national healer.

Patients trusted Tang Long’s medical abilities as soon as they heard of his lineage.

No matter how skilled Lin Qinghan was, without a renowned mentor, she lacked the reputation to attract business.

Wu Xingyan’s medical expertise was exceptional, but as a reclusive master, his fame was unknown to the world and Lin Qinghan could not use his name to draw in patients.

She was accustomed to being looked down upon like this; it was far from the first time.

“Doctor Tang isn’t back yet?”

“Then… then we’ll wait a bit longer. We’ll wait for Doctor Tang. Don’t touch my son!” the woman insisted, anxious yet stubbornly refusing Lin Qinghan’s help.
