Chapter 48: Feeding the Sixth Senior Sister
"I must be dreaming—someone, please slap me awake!"
"This makes no sense! A stunning, sexy goddess like her, not only did she not get into the BMW, but she was actually picked up on a shared bike?"
"For a moment, I believe in love again—she'd rather be laughing on a bicycle than crying in a BMW!"
The crowd was filled with envy, jealousy, and longing, as if their own first loves resurfaced in their hearts.
"Sixth Senior Sister, hold on tight," Chu Tian said with a light laugh, pedaling the shared bike.
In the next instant, the bike sped up abruptly, nearly throwing Gao Haiting off balance.
She leaned forward, instinctively wrapping her arms around Chu Tian's waist, pressing herself against his back.
Chu Tian beamed, savoring the soft sensation against his back, and pedaled with all his might.
The next moment, the shared bike, as if powered by a small engine, raced away like the wind.
Noon, Yunhe Villa.
Chu Tian parked the shared bike to the side and walked into the villa with Gao Haiting.
When they returned, the house was empty; none of the other senior sisters were home.
"Flying all day has exhausted me!" Gao Haiting massaged her shoulders and let out a long sigh.
Seeing it was time for a meal, Chu Tian suggested, "Sixth Sister, are you hungry? Shall I make you a bowl of noodles?"
"Alright. I'll go take a shower first. Don't let me down, little junior brother," Gao Haiting replied, nodding, a hint of anticipation in her eyes.
"Don't worry, my noodles are delicious!" Chu Tian chuckled, turning toward the kitchen.
Meanwhile, Gao Haiting set down her luggage and returned to her bedroom.
Soon, the sound of running water issued from the bathroom.
A few minutes later, Chu Tian had finished cooking. He carried two steaming bowls of noodles into the bedroom.
He placed the bowls on the table and glanced around, still not spotting his sixth senior sister, though he did notice her flight attendant uniform draped on the bed.
The running water from the bathroom continued, conjuring all sorts of images.
"Sixth Sister, are you done yet?" Chu Tian leaned against the bathroom door, listening to the water, and couldn't help urging her along.
Just then, the water stopped.
Gao Haiting grabbed a towel, wrapping her curvaceous, snow-white figure, and prepared to step out of the tub.
Perhaps Chu Tian's urging had made her rush, or perhaps she was simply in a hurry herself—her foot slipped, and her knee banged against the edge of the tub.
"Ah!"
Gao Haiting bit her lip, letting out a low cry.
"Sixth Sister, are you alright?" Hearing her, Chu Tian thought something serious had happened and immediately pushed open the bathroom door.
"Don't… don't come in!" Gao Haiting blushed, trying to stop him, but it was too late.
Chu Tian was stunned by the scene before him.
His sixth senior sister was wrapped in nothing but a towel, half-kneeling in a posture that left little to the imagination. The slight furrow of her brows from the pain made her look all the more delicate and pitiable.
After a moment's pause, Chu Tian quickly collected himself and hurried over to lift Gao Haiting into his arms.
"Xiao Tian, let me at least put on some clothes," Gao Haiting said, her hands looping around his neck, squirming slightly.
Though she'd learned about Chu Tian's character from the other senior sisters, this was their first truly intimate contact, and she couldn't help but feel nervous.
"Don't move!" Chu Tian's tone grew firm as he carried her back to the bedroom and laid her gently on the bed.
At that moment, Gao Haiting was so tense her heart pounded in her chest.
"I'll get some iodine," Chu Tian said, and without doing anything inappropriate, turned and left the room.
Seeing him depart, Gao Haiting finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Ignoring the swelling on her knee, she hurried to the wardrobe, found a clean nightdress, and put it on.
Meanwhile, Chu Tian rummaged through Third Senior Sister's room until he finally found her medical kit.
Although Lin Qinghan had gone to work at the clinic, she always kept a first-aid box at home.
Chu Tian found a bottle of iodine, then hurried back to Gao Haiting's room.
Unfortunately, he was a step too slow; Gao Haiting had already changed into her nightdress, and the opportunity for another glimpse was gone.
"Sixth Sister, the noodles will get cold—eat up," Chu Tian said, handing her a steaming bowl.
He then squatted beside her, gently lifting the hem of her nightdress and dabbing iodine on the swelling with a cotton swab.
"Xiao Tian, I… I can do it myself," Gao Haiting said, a little embarrassed.
"Be good. Eat your noodles," Chu Tian replied, his tone brooking no refusal.
Despite his firm tone, his hands were gentle, as if afraid to hurt her.
Surprised by his careful attention, Gao Haiting didn't refuse. Instead, a warmth blossomed in her heart.
She cradled the hot bowl of noodles, eating small mouthfuls.
When Chu Tian finished applying the iodine, he sat beside her with his own bowl.
Neither spoke as they quietly slurped their noodles, the scene unexpectedly warm and intimate.
"I'm stuffed!"
"After your noodles, I really can't eat another bite. Looks like I’ll have to bail on Seventh Sister this afternoon," Gao Haiting said, setting down her bowl and patting her belly with satisfaction.
"Bail?" Chu Tian asked curiously. "On what?"
"I was supposed to have barbecue with her, but now I’m too full," Gao Haiting replied helplessly.
"Don’t let her down—if you can’t eat, I’ll go in your place!" Chu Tian volunteered, patting his chest.
Afternoon, by the Tianmen River.
Following the location his sixth sister gave him, Chu Tian arrived at the riverside.
He scanned the shore but didn’t see his seventh senior sister.
Just then, the roar of a van’s engine caught his attention.
The van accelerated abruptly, speeding straight toward a young woman standing by the road.
Seventh Senior Sister—Zhao Ling’er!
She was in danger!
Chu Tian moved like lightning, grabbing her slender waist and pulling her back onto the sidewalk.
The van screeched to a halt, its tires leaving black marks right where she’d been standing.
Even without Chu Tian’s intervention, the emergency stop probably would have kept the van from hitting her.
His act of heroism seemed a bit unnecessary.
But as long as she was safe, Chu Tian could finally breathe easy.
"What are you doing?" Zhao Ling’er glared at him in annoyance.
