“Liying, what do you mean by this?” Li Xin’s face darkened, his fists clenching tightly. He never expected that the goddess he had pursued for two years would turn out to be such a scheming opportunist.

And to be humiliated in front of Chu Tian, in front of his friends, as a rich heir snatched away his love—this was an intolerable disgrace.

“Li Xin, you should know your place. Some things don’t need to be spelled out, do they? I think you understand,” Zhao Liying replied coldly, her gaze unfamiliar and distant.

Li Xin was left speechless.

But Chu Tian could hardly bear to watch any longer.

“It was Li Xin who invited you all out first. Isn’t it rather unkind for you to break your promise so publicly?” Chu Tian’s expression darkened, a note of reproach in his tone.

“Bro, you need strength to pick up girls. If you don’t have money, what’s the point in trying?” Yang Xuan sneered, his words dripping with mockery. “If you could get Liying into the bar, maybe they wouldn’t have ditched you. But really, you can only blame yourself for being useless, talentless, and broke.”

“Who told you that Li Xin can’t get anyone into the bar?” Chu Tian said. “If Li Xin asks, I can get you all in right now, no need to stand here waiting.”

At first, Chu Tian hadn’t intended to reveal his connection to Second Senior Sister; he thought he’d just tag along with Li Xin for some fun. But he hadn’t expected these people to be so arrogant. He couldn’t just sit by and watch his friend be insulted.

His words stunned everyone. Even the strangers queued nearby now turned their eyes to Chu Tian.

“Are you kidding? Clearly, you don’t know the Night Queen’s temper. Her bar has strict rules—there’s no way she’d let you cut in line,” someone scoffed. “If you cause trouble at the Night Bar, you’ll be lucky to get away with your limbs intact.”

The crowd snickered. As regulars at the Night Bar, they were well aware of Ye Binglan’s reputation.

Hearing this, Yang Xuan also chimed in, “Hmph, what nonsense. Even my father wouldn’t dare cross the Night Queen. Who are you to make such bold claims?”

Yang Xuan looked at Chu Tian with a sneer, clearly regarding him as a clueless fool.

“Young Master Yang, are you telling the truth?” Zhao Liying and her two friends gasped. “Is the owner of the Night Bar really that influential? Even your father has to show her respect?”

To them, a wealthy heir like Yang Xuan was already unattainable. If even his father dared not offend Ye Binglan, how high must her status truly be?

“You have no idea,” Yang Xuan said with awe. “The Night Queen is formidable, but her elder sister is even more powerful—Liu Qingxue, the CEO of Qingxue Group. Rumor has it, Liu Qingxue is connected to a man of immense power. If he utters a single word, even the four great families of Tianmen must bow before him.”

“Once, the young master of the Song family offended Liu Qingxue. Not long after, he simply vanished without a trace. Rumor has it, it was Liu Qingxue’s man who did it.”

Yang Xuan spoke with deep reverence. If he knew that the very man he revered was standing right before him—Chu Tian—he would never believe it, even if he were beaten.

“So formidable?” Zhao Liying was dumbstruck, her heart fluttering at the thought of such power, even though she had never met Ye Binglan herself.

Why was there never such a powerful man by her side? If she had one to back her like Ye Binglan did, wouldn’t she also command the respect and fear of these rich heirs?

“Chu Tian, stop bragging. The Night Bar’s owner is far too powerful for us to offend.” Li Xin quietly tugged Chu Tian’s sleeve, trying to lead him away. He knew Chu Tian was standing up for him, but he didn’t want his friend to get into trouble on his account.

“Li Xin, I really can get you in.” Chu Tian waved his hand, speaking earnestly.

Li Xin was momentarily stunned. He knew Chu Tian wouldn’t joke about something like this. Could it really be possible?

“Li Xin, where did you find these useless friends of yours? Telling such lies without even thinking them through?” Zhao Liying sneered. “Even Young Master Yang’s father has to show respect to the Night Queen. The Song family’s young master disappeared after offending her sister. No one could ever have special privileges at the Night Queen’s bar. What makes you think you can get in early?”

“Li Xin, a woman like her isn’t worth your feelings,” Chu Tian said, shaking his head. “I can take you into the bar. But are you sure you want to bring them along too?”

“No need,” Li Xin sighed. “Just the two of us drinking tonight is enough.”

“Just the two of us drinking? That’s no fun,” Chu Tian laughed. “Didn’t you want to invite some girls to join us? Go ask a few more.”

“I… I don’t know many girls. And where would I find some on such short notice?” Li Xin said awkwardly.

“You don’t need to know them. There are plenty of pretty girls queuing outside. Just pick whichever you like and invite her,” Chu Tian said decisively. “Tell them you can get them into the bar ahead of time. They’ll definitely want to join you.”

Li Xin was stunned. He had never heard of this way of picking up girls before.

“Alright!” Li Xin summoned his courage and walked back into the crowd. His taste wasn’t bad; within ten minutes, he had found three attractive girls, each a match for Zhao Liying in looks and figure.

These girls, though, were half skeptical. The bar hadn’t even opened yet—could they really get in early?

In truth, it wasn’t Li Xin’s charm that drew them, but Chu Tian’s promise. Being able to skip the line and enter the bar early was a matter of pride. The girls were attracted by this offer and so agreed to join Li Xin.

“Li Xin, where did you find these women?” Zhao Liying sneered. “Do they seriously believe your nonsense—that following you will get them into the bar ahead of everyone else?”

The three girls frowned. They had accepted Li Xin’s invitation precisely because they wanted to get in early. Had they been deceived?

“Come with me. I’ll take you inside,” Chu Tian said, not letting them dwell on it, and strode straight for the bar’s entrance.
